Nagar Motha at sknatural is Cyperus scariosus. It belongs to family "Cyperaceae". Generally, people use its knotted tubers of black colour. It is warm and dry in second order. A perennial herb with a long tough rootstock emerges during the rainy season in many parts of the world, including India. \n \nGenerally, the tubers contain fat, sugar, gum, carbohydrates, essential oil, albuminoid matter, starch fiber and ash. There are traces of an alkaloid. The essential oil is  contains about 27 compounds \n

Medicnal uses:
\nNagar motha is esteemed as a nervine tonic and is thus included in cardiac tonic, brain restorative, stomach tonic, and carminative preparations. When consumed as an infusion or soup, it proves effective as an alterative in various conditions such as fevers, diarrhea, dysentery, dyspepsia, anorexia, loss of appetite, vomiting, and cholera. Its decoction serves as a great service in cases of nervous and brain functional debility. \n \nIn instances where liver debility arises due to cold malhumors, resulting in abnormal nutrient absorption and frequent diarrhea, the administration of one gram of tubers' powder, when taken with milk from which cream has been extracted, proves effective. Fresh tubers, when made into a paste and applied on breasts, act as an effective galactagogue. In a one-ounce dose, it acts as an anthelmintic. Moreover, it exhibits a remarkable effect in healing ulcers and sores when applied in warm plasters. \n \nThe tubers possess a wide range of therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory, antiemetic, insect repellent, antipyretic, analgesic, antihistaminic, and muscle relaxant activities. \n \nWe provide you very good quality nagar motha.
