Kafur Powder at sknatural is obtained from plant Cinnamomum camphora Nees & Eberm. It belongs to family "Lauraceae". It is cold and dry in third order. Generally, people use its parts above ground, leaves, fruits, bark, the sublimed product (camphor powder) and camphor oil. People in Pakistan widely use it as a perfuming agent for deaths. \n \nThe tree can reach heights of up to 20–30 m (66–98 ft). In Japan, it's known as kusunoki, where five camphor trees have trunk circumferences exceeding 20 m (66 ft). Among them, the largest individual, named Kamō no Ōkusu or the "Great camphor of Kamō," measures 24.22 m in circumference. The leaves of this tree have a glossy, waxy appearance and emit a scent of camphor when crushed. \n \nDuring spring, it bears bright green foliage along with numerous small white flowers. Later on, it produces clusters of black, berry-like fruit, each around 1 cm (0.39 in) in diameter. The tree's bark is pale and deeply fissured vertically. Kafur Powder is a waxy, white crystalline solid substance, obtained from the tree with a strong scent. People obtain its terpenoid originally by distillation of bark from camphor tree. \n

Medicinal uses:

\nExternally, people widely use Kafur Powder as an antiseptic, coolant, and local anesthetic. Its liniment particularly benefits in treating sprains, bruises, and rheumatic pains. Internally, it plays a role in reducing body heat during fever and treating cough, bronchitis, and whooping cough. Additionally, it acts as an antispasmodic, particularly in conditions like asthma, hysteria, epilepsy, and dysmenorrhea. \n \nWhen applied as drops, camphor extract in coriander helps relieve epistaxis and effectively treats earaches. Furthermore, camphorated parachlorphenol demonstrates antibacterial properties and finds utility in treating infected root canals. \n \n  \n

Precaution:

\nPeople with cold temperament are at risk. Hence, large doses may produce nausea and vomiting, gastro-enteritis, convulsions, depression of heart, cold sweat, coma and even death. Long-term use or large doses may cause sexual debility temporarily.
