Kharateen at sknatural are basically cleaned earthworms, Ascaris lumbricoides. Creeping on moist grounds, up to 8 inches in length, these creatures can be commonly observed during the rainy season, freely moving in gardens. Due to their popularity among fish, people often use them as bait, attracting them with fishing hooks.

Whether used alone in powder form or incorporated into confections or electuaries, they aim to improve body weight and activity. \n \nIn cases of warm inflammations, individuals apply finely triturated earthworms as a paste under cover for about three days to alleviate discomfort. Additionally, mixing triturated earthworms with water or almond oil and applying them on hydrocele proves to be beneficial. \n \nKhiratin Mussafa, utilized for medicinal purposes, are obtained by placing live earthworms in salted buttermilk (Chaach).
